I visited the University Apartments on the campus of UW-Madison last night to see how their sewing classes were going. They are our pilot site for this program and what I saw still has me smiling. It is beautiful to see cultures and traditions blending as women learn new sewing skills together sharing their rich histories and their stories, helping one another, learning from one another.
Please take a peek at the pictures on our Sewing Shares page.
How do you donate a used sewing machine?
Hi Ellen, Please visit the “giving” section of the Sewing Machine Project website for more information. Thank you for your kindness!
I have many working vintage (all metal rarely break down) sewing machines I would like to donate to a good cause? Any suggestions?
