It seems that everywhere I see or hear mention of “rewards”. We earn rewards for spending a certain amount at countless shops. We earn rewards for banking with certain banks. Airlines reward us with miles and points as we choose them for flights. Even in church one hears that there’s a great reward waiting in heaven.
I find rewards are all around each and every day. Somehow, I feel the greatest rewards come from doing something for someone else, especially when it is unsolicited. This dimension of The Sewing Machine Project is the most fulfilling. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to serve others and, in some small way, help them to open an avenue for rebuilding as well as to open a creative path.
To me, the thanks I get is an added bonus because I myself feel so grateful to have this opportunity placed in my hands.
