This project has been embraced by so many organizations. The following are organizations which have helped me tremendously. Links to their sites, if available, are included.

Jerry’s Sewing and Vacuum is our new collection site for the Madison area. Jerry’s is located at 2133 Zeier Road, across from East Towne mall. They’ve been so gracious in helping us out!

Linda’s Sew ‘n’ So is our collection site for northwestern Ohio. Linda’s is located at 216 W. Fayette Street in Celina, Ohio. Her phone number is 419-586-2324. Thank you, to Linda’s for helping to expand our collection capability!

Hans’ Sewing and Vacuum -The staff at Hans’ has been incredibly helpful and supportive! Not only have they been cheerleaders for the Project, but they’ve helped me ready all of the machines, move them from place to place, and they’ve put up with the sea of machines that accumulates before a distribution! I can’t begin to thank them enough! Hans’ closed as of June 2008 after 54 years of service.

Kiwanis Club of Madison -The Madison Kiwanians have embraced this project from the beginning. They have collected donations through the Kiwanis Foundation and many of the members have made generous individual donations. Their generous spirit, kindness and continuous support have been incredibly helpful.

Bernina of America has donated 20 machines to The Sewing Machine Project. Those 20 machines are now being used at Lusher School and O’Perry Walker High School in New Orleans. In addition, Bernina dealerships in the Midwest are helping collect machines for distribution.

Businesses have partnered with me as well. I’d like to thank: The Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans as well as Enterprise and Budget rental agencies.
